Have you found that over the counter exhaust bends are a little too tight in radius for your custom motorcycle? Thats because they were probably designed for car engine bays with little clearance or stainless steel hand rails for your local shopping centre.
Big radius exhaust bends gives a nod to the past and will look right at home on your motorcycle whether its a vintage chopper or a modern cafe racer.
The outside diameter (OD) throughout the radius of the bend is so consistent that you can chop, weld and delete the welds without having to spend excessive time and consumables on the blending phase.
These bends are measured through the Centre Line Radius (CLR). The CLR is doubled if you want to know what the distance is between the centres of the parallel legs. (see pic attached)
All bends will have approx. 300mm of straight on each end and is 1.6mm in wall thickness.
Available in 316 grade stainless steel as well as mild steel for builders wanting to chrome plate their exhaust.
The stainless steel variants of these bends are 316 grade. Kansai Giant recommends using 316 grade tubing on the rest of your exhaust system otherwise the system will not age uniformly. Kansai Giant does not recommend using 304 grade for motorcycle exhausts as this will result in tea staining.
